The Devon Coast to Coast Cycle Route (C2C NCN Route 27)

Devon Coast to Coast cycling NCN Route 27

If you are cycling on the Devon Coast to Coast route between Ilfracombe and Plymouth, Devon by Bike can help you.

How do we get ourselves and our bikes back to where we started from?

The problem is that you start on one side of the Devon coast and end up a 100 miles or so later on the other side with no way of getting back.

Devon by Bike provides a transport service for up to 6 passengers and 8 bikes between Plymouth and Ilfracombe for about 160. Larger groups can be catered for.

"The service was brilliant. We reckoned it saved 100 and 8 man hours driving by using you and not taking 2 cars".

Please note, if you intend taking your bike on the train to Barnstaple you should avoid busy times and check their bike carrying policy beforehand.

Where is the best accommodation along the route?

Devon by Bike has a carefully selected range of accommodation providers close to the Devon Coast to Coast route to suit a variety of needs and can tell you how many miles apart they are. We can arrange accommodation for you or can recommend places for you to book directly.

Charity cyclists

We offer a discount for groups of fundraising cyclists; our support can help your event go smoothly.

Can you cater for cyclists with additional needs?

Yes! Through Charlotte's Tandems we can offer a FREE loan of a tandem. If you are visually impaired, or have other additional needs, the free loan of a tandem offers a great opportunity to still get out on a bike.

How long will it take to cycle?

We have extensive knowledge of the route and can advise you.

Can the hills of Devon be avoided? And what about children?

We can collect cyclists from the end of each flat/traffic-free bit of the route and take them to the next flat/traffic-free bit. This way, you still do 70% of the whole route and it is very flat and safe for children.

Please contact us and let us know your requirements.
